USA Shipping

Shipping to any USA state is set at a flat rate of $3.85 for boro bead purchases over $10.00. Free S/H applies to bead purchases over $75.00. Insurance is not included, but is recommended (see below or FAQ’s in red). Free shipping, handling and insurance is included for orders over $100 and less than $200.

Shipping costs include postage, packaging and handling. All packages will be shipped using USPS First Class Package mail service using a 6 x 9 inch bubble mailer.

Insurance is recommended and added to the shipping costs if chosen. For a typical order under $50 the Post Office charges $1.80 for insurance. Or $2.30 for purchases from $50.01 to $100, etc.

If the insurance option (Shipping with Insurance) is NOT chosen, Alaska Boro is NOT financially responsible for any shipments that are lost, pilfered, damaged, destroyed or not delivered. If this is a concern, then please choose the higher shipping cost which includes USPS insurance. If the lower cost shipping option is chosen (Shipping - No Insurance) Alaska Boro can not absorb the cost of a lost or damaged shipment.

The shipping/handling rates for Alaska Boro beads are listed in the two below tables. The first table lists the flat rate shipping and handling costs that are applied to the order that does NOT include USPS postal insurance.

International Shipping
Alaska Boro will ship to Australia, Canada, New Zealand and most European Union countries. The cost of shipping for boro beads that weigh 4 ounces or less, (including packaging) will be at a rate of $8.60 USD. (Canada $6.00 USD) This rate is for a package that has a value of less than or equal to $100 USD. i.e. Note: shipping weight includes beads and packaging.

International purchases are limited to $100 USD or less. Please contact Alaska Boro to make arrangements for purchases that exceed this limit prior to ordering. Extra fees will be applied for additional weight and insurance costs.

For International shipments, a PayPal “confirmed” address is required for order processing. “PayPal offers confirmed addresses as an additional layer of fraud protection. Confirmed addresses help guard against stolen credit cards and identity theft.”

To confirm an address simply add a credit card to your PayPal account.

Generally figure, 15 to 20 beads per 4 ounce package depending on bead size. Packages that weigh over 4 total ounces will be billed for extra weight at $1.00 USD per ounce. A PayPal invoice will be sent prior to bead shipment. If not paid, the order will be canceled and all PayPal payments fully refunded with beads returned to stock.

The above shipping costs include postage, packaging, handling and insurance up to $100. All packages will be shipped using First Class International Small Packets mail service using a 6 x 9 inch bubble mailer. Attached to the outside of the mailer will be Customs Declaration form 2976.

All internationally shipped boro beads will be listed as “Borosilicate glass bead craft supplies”. Please do not ask for a custom’s declaration as “gift” as this will NOT be honored.

Beads may be subject to a tariff (duty) that is due by the receiving county. If the package is due a tariff, it is the buyer’s responsibility to pay the accessed fee. Alaska Boro is under no obligation to pay any accessed customs fee. If the fee is a concern, contact your country’s customs office to determine what fees are applicable to boro glass craft bead supplies.

Often, a customs office will select a random sampling of packages for inspection or the assessment of fees. It is just a matter of the luck of the draw. Some countries limit purchase amounts that are subject to a tariff. Some will assess over $200 in value, while under with no assessment. This varies county by country and by product.

Delivery time is generally in the range of 10 days to many international locations. However, it could be 30 days depending if the package is held up in customs or for other reasons.

It is possible to track the package, to some extent, by using the below listed USPS tracking URL.

http://www.usps.com/shipping/trackandconfirm.htm

In the “Enter Label/ Receipt Number” box place the Customs Declarations number assigned to the package. Numbers will take the form of LC143405308US. The first two letters will vary.

Custom forms and insurance both require first and last name, complete mailing address and phone number with country code. If any of this information is missing the shipment can not be processed.

Purchases may be made from individuals in the following countries. The list is limited as the insurance carrier will only provide insurance to specific locations.

Australia Lithuania
Austria Luxembourg
Belgium Malta
Canada Netherlands
Czech Republic New Zealand
Denmark Norway
Estonia Poland
Finland Portugal
France Spain
